Although I'm fairly new to Twitter, it has paid off in the last couple of weeks. One of the "gold mines" that I was introduced to by icpjones from Twitter was images4education. This particular Ning focuses on using photography in lesson plans & the classroom. After seeing this discussion page that explores pedagogical uses of Flickr, my brain was spinning with all the possibilities. The note feature will allow teachers/students to label specific parts of the photo. I can't wait to upload my market photos & practice vocabulary with this feature. Someone else created a maze with their photos, that will lead students from one to the other, a perfect activity for giving directions & practicing commands! For fun, there is bighugelabs that will allow you to manipulate photos in many ways. You can create a collage, a puzzle, a bulletin board, and many other effects for your photos. I hope to be able to post my flickr projects soon.
